The OASIS started as an idea Beau Theriot had for a great restaurant on a hill. Back in 1979, Beau decided to buy a beautiful 500 acre plot of land, which contained only a ranch house on it, along the shoreline of Lake Travis. He envisioned a wonderfully successful and unique restaurant perched on top of one of the bluffs on this property. By 1982 he had made some small renovations to the ranch house and opened it as The OASIS Restaurant and Cantina Del Lago. By 2005, The OASIS had grown to be one of the largest restaurant in the world and the biggest in Texas, seating 2800 people. Most of the seating was outdoors with an outdoor entertainment venue. On June 1st, 2005, the restaurant was devastated by a fire. The OASIS remained open during the two years that followed, using only the remaining outdoor entertainment venue and served food out of a trailer. Mr. Theriot had a vision, and created a four story dream facility. Each room would have a different ambiance and theme to satisfy the tastes of every desire. The OASIS today, seats close to 2500, has a indoor entertainment facility with retractable roof panels on our third floor, and has several different banquet rooms to select from for your private event.
Shore Club Volente Beach or SCVB for short is located on the shores of Lake Travis and is the perfect getaway for children and adults alike on a hot summer day. We have pools for children and a pool with a swim up tiki bar. We have our own sandy beachfront and 3 volleyball courts (2 lighted and 1 in the water). Although SCVB offers an upscale casual restaurant specializing in hand-cut steaks and fresh seafood and a beach bar & grill with the best burgers on the lake, picnics are permitted, so load up the cooler and come on out. We have plenty of options for the kids as well, including pizza and ice cream. Boat and wave runner rentals are also available. This location is also a great getaway after a day out on the Lake. Sit back and relax and have a nice Margarita before bringing your boat back in.
Devil's Cove is the biggest party cove and meeting place for boaters on Lake Travis in Austin Texas. Every year thousands of people pile on hundreds of boat in THE hot spot for Memorial day, summer, 4th of July, and the rest of the amazing summer events going on around Austin, TX. This is the most popular spot for Piranha Austin Boat Renters. We highly recommend drinking heavily a few weeks prior taking a boat out here to prepare your liver for the onslaught of beer, liquor, and scantily clad women who frequent these waters.
Hippie Hollow Park lies in the basin area of Lake Travis in the Hill Country of central Texas, approximately one-half hour's drive from downtown Austin. The Park features a steep, rocky shoreline and provides some spectacular views of Lake Travis. This heavily-used park, the only clothing optional public park in Texas, is popular for sunbathing and swimming.
There are no lifeguards on duty.
Hippie Hollow Park has a long tradition as the only clothing-optional public park in Texas. Entry to the park is restricted to those people 18 years and older. Please respect the privacy of other visitors and ask permission before taking photographs. Remember that nudity is acceptable, lewd behavior is not.
Hippie Hollow Park includes habitat for species protected under the Federal Endangered Species Act, including the Golden-cheeked Warbler and the Black-capped Vireo. As a result, certain areas of the park are off-limits to park visitors.
Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the park and may not be left in unattended vehicles. Ground fires are prohibited in all day use parks. Glass containers and fireworks are prohibited in all Travis County parks. Public display of consumption of alcohol is prohibited.
Hatter Cove is a great area if you're looking to get away from the crowds and want to boat somewhere on Lake Travis in relative privacy. While not normally crowded, boats here have less of a party attitude and are more apt to just sunbathing and keeping to their own.
