Services, Policies, and FAQ
What are general boat rules for passengers?
During the boat rentals, we ask our guests to abide by the following rules:
No jello shots (or anything that can stain upholstery)
No jeans (they stain the upholstery when wet)
No jumping or standing on the seats
Can I bring food and drink on board?
Yes, guests are welcome to bring food and drinks on board, as long as there is no glass containers or anything that can stain the upholstery (ex: jello shots).
We do not provide ice, so guests can either bring ice with them or buy it on the lake. There is limited cooler space on most boats under the seats (check boat descriptions
) but generally it's a good idea to bring a few coolers with you.
Do I have to have a captain?
Yes, captains must be present on all of our boat rentals, no exceptions. Captain fees are $25.00 /hr on pontoon boats and $35 /hr on yachts. At this time we do not offer self captained boat rentals. That being said, all our captains are very knowledgeable about Lake Travis and will make sure your party is well taken care of.
Should I tip my captain?
Captain tips are highly encouraged if they do a good job on your charter. You have an option of adding the tip to your reservation ahead of time, paying your captain in cash, or adding a tip to the credit card on file after the rental.
What is our Cancellation and Refund policy?
The full amount of your reservation is due at the time of booking.
Outside 7 days - $150 non refundable deposit
Inside 7 days - 50% Refund
Inside 48 hours - no refunds given
Outside 7 days - No Penalty
Inside 7 days - $100.00
Inside 2 days - no rescheduling, no refunds
What if the weather is bad?
***Please be advised - If weather inhibits your charter due to hail, sleet, thunder storm, or extremely heavy rain, we offer free rescheduling, not cancellations. If you are booking from out of town and are not local or you are unable to reschedule for any reason, you will receive a voucher good for 2 years on future rentals. Unfortunately there are no refunds given for weather issues, and you as the customer assume risk by renting the vessel.
What is there to do on the lake?
All our captains know the lake really well and can cater the experience to your needs. Generally we find most groups will either want to go to Devils Cove to socialize or quieter coves on the lake to anchor down and swim. If you have specific requests, don't be afraid to tell your captain! In addition, there are plenty of restaurant options right on the lake where guests like to stop to get a mid-day snack or drink.
Do I need an I.D.?
Yes, a valid U.S driver's license or other form of acceptable I.D. is needed to rent any of our equipment. You must be 21 years of age and the person signing the contract must have the credit card in their name.
Where do I pick up my watercraft?
Our pickup locations vary. Your email confirmation will have your pickup location after you book your rental.
Do I need to refuel the boat?
A full tank of gas is included with all pontoon boats. Gas prices are not included for all Yachts and Luxury Boat Rentals.
